Frequently Asked Questions

Is it free?

Yes, we provide listings to all businesses to create a comprehensive directory, while offering incetives to subscribers who require extra exposure and competitive edge.

What is the "Northern Illawarra"?

The northern suburbs of Wollongong between Fairy Meadow and Helensburgh

What is the "Coastal Villages"?

The area north of Bulli Pass between Thirroul and Helensburgh

What is the "Business Hub"?

The area south of Bulli Pass between Bulli and Fairy Meadow

Why is the Northern Illawarra split in half?

We seek to print our directories as a compact wallhanger format so that it can be used as an immediate visual reference all year round. We cannot fit all this information into one printed directory, so we spilt the Northern Illawarra in half, and distribute annually to the "Coastal Villages" region in July, and "Business Hub" region in October.

Why are there two sections to the "Coastal Villages" printed directory?

We provide separate directories for the 2508 and 2515 postcodes.

Why are there four sections to the "Business Hub" printed directory?

We provide separate directories for the 2516, 2517, 2518 and 2519 postcodes.

What listing options are there?

We offer Free, Community, Standard and Premium listings, plus the Ad Packages. Please click on the ADVERTISING button above for more information.

Which directory and section will my listing go in?

Your listing will go in your postcode of your region, so a Corrimal business will go in the 2518 directory in the Business Hub.

Why is the Ad Package so much more expensive than the listings?

The Ad Package provides a large graphic ad in all sections of your regional directory (eg; a Thirroul business would have a large graphic ad placed on the 2508 and 2515 sides of the Coastal Villages printed directory, and a Fairy Meadow business would similarly be placed on the 2516, 2517, 2518 and 2519 printed directory), therefore providing a high profile presence in your entire region.

The Ad Package also provides a prioritised listing in the online directory (top of the first page in your category) as well as a large animated feature that appears throughout the entire NiO website, creating the same kind of incidental expsosure that we are accustomed to with TV advertising.

Who receives the printed directory?

We use Australia Post to reach every residence and every business in your region.

NiO: a comprehensive online directory of restaurants, hotels, real estate, accommodation and tourism information for the Wollongong area.
